Merge data from one file into another

I cannot seem to get the contents of two files to merge. I want to merge a Thunderbird mailbox. I can only seem to synchronize and that just overwrites one file with another. I want the mail from one file to merge into the mail in another file so that I have all my mail on one computer. Thanks for any help.

It isn't possible to automatically merge two files with Beyond Compare.

If you double click a pair of Thunderbird files to open them in Beyond Compare's File Viewer you might be able to manually merge them, but I haven't tried it myself.
