Year 2000 Compliance

All versions of Beyond Compare from version 2 on are Y2K compliant.  Beyond Compare does not process or store years as two digit numbers, and it has no need to recognize leap years.  It relies on the underlying operating system to provide accurate date/time information on stored files.  As long as the operating system works correctly, so will Beyond Compare.

To avoid any ambiguity, we recommend that you specify one of the four-digit year formats in your operating systems's regional settings.  That way, Beyond Compare (as well as the operating system) will display dates using four digits for the year.
