Customer Support Engineer

Location:  Madison, Wisconsin, USA
$22 per hour, full time

Scooter Software has great customers all over the world.  Now we need to expand our staff that takes care of them.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first level technical support
  • Test new features and software releases
  • Communicate bug reports and feature requests to developers
  • Answer sales and licensing policy inquiries
  • Process purchase orders and respond to resale inquiries
  • Manage and document special orders and company giveaways

Requirements
  • Self-driven with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly, positive attitude
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical customers
  • Strong problem solving ability with attention to detail
  • Responsible, self-dependent and ethical
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems
  • Basic computer networking
  • Version control systems
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language
