Beyond Compare 3 does not run as a console application on Linux. It requires the X window system.

64-bit distributions require 32-bit compatibility libraries. Using the .deb/.rpm packages with apt-get/yum, or your distribution's associated package manager will install them automatically.

If a Linux distribution is not in the above list, it has not been tested for compatibility by Scooter Software. This does not mean it is incompatible with Beyond Compare for Linux.
